Nissan Sentra and Versa CVT Class Action Settlement Notice and Deadlines
A settlement was recently reached in Weckwerth v. Nissan North America, Inc. While the terms aren’t the greatest, putative class members are potentially entitled to a few benefits. From the class action website:
WARRANTY EXTENSION - The Settlement provides an extension of the Nissan New Vehicle Limited Warranty on your Class Vehicle’s transmission from 60 months / 60,000 miles to 84 months / 84,000 miles (whichever occurs first) (the “Warranty Extension”).
REIMBURSEMENT PAYMENTS - NNA will reimburse Class Members 100% of the amount they actually paid for parts and labor to an authorized Nissan dealer (or up to $4,750 paid to a non-NNA repair facility).
The deadline to submit a Claim Form is January 30, 2020, or within 30 days of the qualifying repair to your vehicle, whichever is later, while the last day to opt out of the settlement is February 7, 2020.
More information can be had from the class action attorneys who handled the matter (not Valero Law) here.
