Chevrolet Colorado & GMC Canyon Transmission, Engine and Power Steering Problems

California consumers have noted that certain model year Chevrolet Colorado’s have exhibited engine and transmission problems, some of which have had to replace the entire engine in the Colorado as a repair. Generally, prior to the engine replacement, consumers have noted a ‘ticking noise’ emanating from the powertrain of the Colorado, especially after powering down the vehicle. In addition, consumers have noted overall sluggish performance, engine misfires, and illumination of the Check Engine Light.
