New Nissan TSB Covering CVT Transmission Issues for Nissan Altima and Nissan Rogue CVT Problems
In February of 2021, Nissan issued a new Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) to Nissan dealerships to combat widespread problems with the CVT Transmissions in those vehicles.
NTB 16-110P is titled “2013-2017 ALTIMA AND 2014-2017 ROGUE; 4 CYLINDER WITH DTC P17F0, P17F1, P0776, 2813, P1715, AND/OR P0841 STORED” and if you have the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes shown, it should be applied:
P0776
P2813
P0841
P17F1
P1715
The TSB even references the well known CVT Judder and hesitation that is well known for any Nissan vehicle equipped with a CVT Transmission.
Common complaints in CVT equipped Nissans are:
Sudden shaking and violent jerking when drivers accelerate.
Lag or delay when the driver tries to accelerate.
Hard deceleration or “clunk” when drivers slow down or accelerate at low speeds.
Complete transmission failures and replacements.
