Audi first noticed the coolant problems in 2016 when a recall was announced in January 2017 to allegedly deactivate the power supply to the coolant pump if the pump was blocked with debris.
Audi later ordered a coolant pump recall in April 2018 but owners were told the new replacement pumps wouldn't be available until November 2018.
