General Motors Brake Problems and Recall

According to a recently filed class action in California, the following vehicles have been found to have issues with their brakes and brake boosters:

  • Chevrolet Tahoes (2015 to 2020)

  • Chevrolet Suburbans (2015 to 2020)

  • Chevrolet Silverados (2014 to 2019)

  • Cadillac Escalades (2015 to 2020)

  • GMC Sierras (2014 to 2019)

  • GMC Yukon/Yukon XLs (2015 to 2020)

In 2019, GM did issue a recall for those vehicles, which was discussed here. However, it is still not known how well that recall worked.

GM issued a series of service bulletins to dealers regarding the brake problems.
